i'm heath. i am in my mid 30's and have been using the internet for over 20 years now. i've always been a big fan of websites like neocities. some oldies that come to mind are vampirefreaks, darkstarlings, sitdiary, xanga, livejournal, and the original geocities.

as you all know, the internet has been slowly rotted away from the inside by capitalism, and i feel truly terrible for the entire generations of people who have never experienced anything other than ads, influencers, selfies, and massive tech conglomerates eating up your personal information for breakfast. the internet use to be such a different place. the wild wild west, you could say. a truly unique experience to immerse yourself in at the time.

The days of Blackberry & BBM messenger, nostalgic smartphones and other tech, mechanical keyboards, sweaters that are way to big for me, spending time at my computer doing nothing in particular, plants, sleeping in on days off, playing with my cats, messing around with html and creating new layouts, nerds clusters candy, binge watching old cartoons, the smell of coffee when you first wake up, taking walks with my headphones in, being introspective about myself and the world, world history, anything to do with space & the universe, documentaries, amature photography, reading, reading, reading, did I mention reading?

repetitive noises, alcohol, waiting for trains to pass, people standing to close behind me in lines, crowded stores, traffic, people who talk on speakerphone in public, when people do not use their blinkers, people who knowingly bring up things you do not want to talk about, inconsiderate people, seeing animals that got hit by cars, being to hot, & other random nonsense that I'm sure everyone else also finds annoying.

i spend a whole lot of time with my headphones in...tuning everything else out. i've amassed quite a collection of artists i like over the years.

there are so many book series i love, here are some of my favorite series that i end up re-reading over and over throughout the years:

animorphs, artemis fowl, balefire, bumped, circle of three, den of shadows, gone, goosebumps, fear street, harry potter, his dark materials, matched, mindwarp, pendragon, sweep, the house of night, the kiesha'ra, the last vampire, the secret circle, uglies, young wizards...

and there are so many stand alone books that i have read...maybe i'll sit down some day and try to make a list of some of my favorites.
